When I got my first dog - I was overwhelmed by problem behaviors.
👎 Fear Reactivity, Extreme Separation Anxiety, Dog Reactivity, Counter Surfing, Trash Diving, Destructive, Leash Pulling, Jumping on Guests, Non-Stop Barking and so much more
And that was only ONE of my dogs! I also had a Siberian Husky who had female dog aggression, resource guarding, and alllllll of the other issues the majority of dogs have like leash pulling, not coming back when called, stubborn and more.
😵💫 Here's the thing...I was so overwhelmed and incredibly confused by YouTube and Instagram
I was told so strongly and vehemently to do XYZ...
Only to then be told NOT to do the XYZ thing I was just told that I SHOULD be doing.
I felt like I was constantly failing my dogs.
I knew they weren't living a great life because I could tell they were unfulfilled and overstimulated.
I was wasting tons and tons of money purchasing all kinds of dog training equipment.
....and over time...I started to resent them. I would come back from a terrible walk and just sit and cry because I was so embarrassed, frustrated and sometimes in pain from being pulled over or jerked around while on the walk.
